Ecology summary:
Benthic and periphytic in stagnant and running fresh, athalassic saline, and coastal brackish waters; among submerged (macrophytes, moss) and semi-emerse (reed, moss) vegetation, on detritus-rich bottom sediments, and in psammolittoral; tolerates hypertrophic conditions, eurythermic, euryhaline (Jersabek & Bolortsetseg, 2010) [Ref.18457].
